I can remember when the Crowes were hailed by Melodymaker as "the most rock & roll band in the world". I saw them live twice in '92 when they were crazy good - and totally lived up to this moniker. So, what happened? They totally fell off my radar since Amorica - but I'm nostalgic, I guess, and wanted to relive my youth so I got tickets for this gig...BIG mistake.

I had heard that they were not playing alot of old stuff on this tour, but could not have been prepared for this. On this night, the band was great, (showcased their talent, well rehearsed and tight) but the show was awful. Thanks in part to the horrible venue (no alcohol, and all these pensioners with comped tickets were on the limited floor space). I would, quite frankly, never see another gig there. The band could not feed off the crowd, as many of them simply got up and left, by wheelchair or walker, mid-way through the first set. Whoever is your booking agent needs to be sacked.

Hotel Illness, Wiser Time, Angels and Remedy were amazing and well received by the stoic fans. It was a Friday night and we were ready to rock, but the setlist nearly put us to sleep.

Guys, I know that you want to showcase your new album - but 75% new stuff? Really?

We were at the show 5th row to the right. I've always been a fan of the Crowes but this was the first time seeing them live. It would have been nice to hear more of their hits but the songs from their new albums sounded great. Chris can really sing and the band can play so many different styles of music.

Its my second time seeing a concert at Rama (the first was Stone Temple Pilots earlier this year). I agree with Brian that the Casino must give away too many comp tickets to the gamblers. They must be the ones in the crowd looking like zombies in the good seats.

Nonetheless, would definitely check them out again.
