Hey man. I went to the may 22nd show in holmdel, nj and i met eric’s guitar tech lee dixon before the show and asked him for a pick. He said “ill do better, ill give you the picks eric plays with tonight after the show”. I immediately thought he was leading me on. Until after the concert. I hung around for a bit and others did too. everyone was screaming at lee to give them somwething. I just said “hey lee!”. He looked at me, took the picks off eric’s Martin and one of his strats and walked right up to me and gave them to me. And sure enough i expected Eric Clapton Tour 08, but what it said was Lambert Simnel and the Marzipan Band. I was curious as to what that meant. Surely its some sort of inside joke. But it made my night. It made my whole summer for that matter…
